The 5 Beauty Resolutions You Need To Make This Year

Happy New Year! From all of us at Cel, we'd like to say thank you for the past year, it's been one of the best and we could have never done it without you!

Now it's 2019 everyone is beginning to make New Years Resolutions, but with it being January it's often one of the toughest months to start doing something new, especially if it includes heading out every morning for a run in the cold.

So to make resolutions you can keep, we've listed 5 resolutions that you can stick to, and will drastically improve your skin!

1. Take off your make up every night

Some nights the effort of taking your make up off just feels that little bit too hard. Especially if you’re all snuggled up already. But taking your make up off at night should be your number one priority! When your skin is recovering and repairing over-night, having make up on means that it will seep into your pores, causing spot, blackheads and whiteheads galore.

2. Wear sunscreen every day

This is one of the most important skin care tips out there. Generally people only apply sunscreen when it gets really sunny and the temperature rises, but you’re being hit with UVA and UVB rays every day, even when it’s cloudy. These rays damage our skin and cause premature aging, so it’s so important to wear sunscreen every day, no matter what the weather.

3. Don’t forget your body

Spending all our time focusing on looking after your face means that the rest of your body doesn’t get the attention it needs! Especially when the weather gets colder, it’s time to spend some time exfoliating and moisturizing until your skin feels and looks great, head to toe.

4. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize

Summer, winter, dry skin or oily skin you should be moisturizing as often as you cleanse. If you don’t usually like the feeling of moisturizers, there are plenty of lightweight ones that won’t clog your pores.

5. Sleep well

The real key to good skin? Good sleep! As you sleep your skin recovers and repairs, and getting enough sleep keeps those pesky eye bags at bay, too. Studies have shown that the time between 10pm-11pm is when your skin does most of its work, so make sure your make up is off by then at least if you’re not asleep.

Final thoughts

When it comes to your beauty regime, it can be easy to get side tracked and forget to stick to your routine sometimes. But now the new year has become, it’s good to get yourself some new habits so you can start as you mean to go on! You’ll notice a dramatic difference once you find your routine and stick to it!
